Education

Jason Lee, DDS, FRCDC, Dip(ABOMS), is an experienced and highly qualified board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon. He has been practicing since 2008, having completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2003 from the University of Buffalo School of Dental Medicine, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He went on to complete his postgraduate training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from the University of Florida School of Medicine, where he served as the Chief Resident from 2006–2007. Dr. Lee then continued his training, completing a Microvascular Reconstructive/Head and Neck Fellowship in 2008, becoming one of the first single-degree surgeons in North America to achieve this accomplishment.

Dr. Lee has been affiliated with several major tertiary hospital systems over the years and is currently on staff as a Facial Trauma and Oral Surgeon at HCA Memorial Jacksonville. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada, specializing in OMFS (FRCDC) and a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He is certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, and has training in Advanced Trauma Life Support.

In the Community

Dr. Lee has been active in the community and served in various leadership positions throughout his career. He is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Florida Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and a member of the American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He has also been a Fellow of the International Academy of Oral Oncology.

Throughout his career, Dr. Lee has had a strong commitment to giving back through volunteer work locally and internationally. He began this journey while still a dental student and at the time, he didn’t realize what he got himself into when he signed up for his first trip to Brazil. He lived on a boat for 10 days in a hammock, 15 hours down the Amazon River, providing oral surgery in a hut to the local villagers. That trip eventually ignited a fire, and he has since traveled to multiple countries, including Vietnam, Nicaragua, and the Philippines, to provide his expertise in performing critical surgeries. Since 2007, Dr. Lee has been traveling to the Philippines with the local Medical Society to provide procedures such as cleft lip and palate surgery, head and neck tumor surgery, and thyroid surgery, and has completed hundreds of these surgeries during these trips.

His commitment also extends to the local community, as he has provided many pro bono facial reconstructive surgeries through his affiliation with the local trauma center. Dr. Lee’s dedication to serving those in need is a core value that he brings to his work as a surgeon and a leader in the field.
